Quick and Easy Turkey Meatballs
This recipe was sent to us by Michelle, one of our online blogger mums. Her challenge was to cook a pasta or pizza meal for the family using turkey.
What we thought:
My family, and a last minute guest, devoured the meal and announced it was delicious. Our guest wanted the recipe so that their Mum could make them, high praise indeed! 
Essential Ingredient:
Turkey Mince
85g wholemeal breadcrumbs

75ml milk, I used semi-skimmed

450g turkey mince

1 glove garlic, crushed

1 Tblsp fresh oregano or 1 tsp dried oregano

700ml chunky passata

500g pack of pasta, we used tricolour fusilli

To serve:
Serve with vegetables on the side.
This is a quick, filling and thrifty family dinner.
  1. Preheat your oven to 180C/160C Fan.
  2. Put the breadcrumbs and milk into a large bowl, stir so the breadcrumbs absorb the milk.
  3. Add the turkey mince, oregano, salt and pepper. Mix together until completely combined then form into meatballs. You should get about 20 meatballs from this mixture.
  4. Put the meatballs into a large ovenproof dish. Cook in the oven for 15 minutes, pour over the passata then cook for a further 10 minutes.
  5. Whilst the meatballs are in the oven cook your pasta according to directions on the packet.
  6. Prepare and cook any vegetables you would like to accompany the meatballs and pasta.
  7. Serve the meatballs over the pasta with vegetables on the side.
