Three Cup Turkey
Essential Ingredient:
Turkey Thigh
500g turkey thigh

6 slices fresh root ginger

6 cloves of garlic (skin removed)

3 tablespoons sesame oil

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 tablespoons dry sherry

1 teaspoon dark soy sauce

1 teaspoon cornflour

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1 bunch basil leaves

6 spring onions (sliced)

6 dried chillies (soaked in water)

Salt and pepper

To serve:
Serve with steamed rice.

Originally from Taiwan, the 3 cups refers to the 1 cup of sesame oil,
soy sauce and sherry in this recipe.
  1. Cut turkey into bite size pieces
  2. Marinate in soy sauce, sugar and cornflour
  3. Heat the sesame oil in a large frying pan or a wok. Add in the garlic, ginger and chillies and fry until aromatic
  4. Add in the turkey and the spring onions. Quick fry for 5 minutes.
  5. Add in the sherry and dark soy sauce. Cover and lower the heat and simmer for 30 minutes
  6. Add in basil leaves. Stir well
